The addition of ignition improvers like IPN (Iso-propyl-nitrate) or 2-ethylhexyl-nitrate (Amsoil cetane boost) allows the engine to run at lower compression settings without loss in performance, and achieve higher rpm as well. Availability of these ignition enhancers may be quite difficult. Truck diesel engine fuel cetane boosters have shown good results. These are readily available at gas stations
For racing, IPN may replace part of the ether, or even all of it, and the oil content may be much lower by adding extra kerosene. Beware: The engine then runs much hotter, is harder to adjust, and MTBF is greatly reduced.
Be warned: Engines are easily fried this way.

(MTBF = mean time between failures, also called life expectancy of the engine)

Reverse Running crankshafts are available.

As the old saying goes – "there is no substitute for cubic inches." This is exactly what MVVS had done with their MVVS .77, i.e., increase the bore of their existing .61 from 23mm to 25mm, and stroke from 24mm to 26mm, with both engines sharing the same crankcase and cylinder castings. The results in the .77 having the same physical size as the .61 with the same mounting bolt pattern, etc., but actually weighing a fraction less.

A stump-pulling beauty, this engine is designed to fit in the space of a standard 10cc (.61), and drops right in. It is lighter than the MVVS .61, #3090 and may well help you comply with those ever increasing imposed noise limits, because it makes light work with pulling large props at around 9500 rpm.

This is the enlarged version of the previous rear carb  reed induction 45 engines. The extra displacement is achieved by using a larger bore piston for more torque and better power at lower rpm, as well as prolonged power at elevated rpm, thus widening the available power band for 3D flying of 27% to 33% planes as well as racing planes or just general purpose planes in need of maximum power in a small package.
The cast aluminium crankcase has been reinforced with a third bearing and extra stiffening ribs to resist the added power.

These are my own tests using different mufflers setup.  The MTW TP2 produced close to 8hp power on a short header, without any peakyness. For Imac and 3D, a 400mm header gives very crisp throttle response whilst limiting top rpm.

Plugs , NGK CM6, or equivalent, with electrodes gapped to 0.5mm
Cantilever crankshaft supported on two ball bearings, rear carburetor, and reed valve induction. The high silicon alloy piston is molybdenium coated for run-in assistance and extended life, and runs in a NIKASIL coated cylinder.

The engine is made available to special order with the carby and reed block in side orientation. Horizontal or vertical is the carby valve shaft line

Warning:
Do not try running the engine with wide open throttle and closed choke, as this may damage the reeds due to the presence of raw fluid.

MVVS develloped their #3411 (int. 58.02) canister exhaust system in order to obtain a very flat and wide top power curve, without sacrificing usable power. This enables a range of propellors to be operated at the roughly the same peak power. The smaller props will turn faster, and have massive power reserve to accelerate to speed. This is beneficial for 3D flight which needs a very crisp throttle response for the wide blades.
The muffler part and header part are separate items. The 58cc and 116cc share the same #3411 canister. The flex stainless steel coupler construction of int58-01 (pictured) has been redesigned to a straight section in order to accept standard teflon couplers.

The engine is liquid cooled to allow for a higher sustained power and installing remote heat exchangers. Great for scale, and real narrow cowls (IMAGE). Ducting of the radiator airflow opens up many options to keep the engine cool.(The standard radiator as shown in the picture is not included with the engine  Special radiators can be made to order.)
The technical specifications are like those of the pro-sport engine, but due to the liquid cooling there is about 5% more power.

MVVS 80 IRS - Gas engine,"sport" , single side spark plug, equipped with Bendix type starter motor and modified ignition ICU-P/starter; the startermotor ESC is included.

This engine is a 80cc side plug version, modified to accept a special design starter motor (by MVVS) The starter motor is driven by a modified ICU-P ignition, which controls the starter operating mode. It shuts off the starter when the engine runs, and prevents further starting until the engine has stopped.

Description : MVVS 116NP Boxer is a New Platform engine with bottom updraught carb intake controlled by a reed valve ensuring equal cylinder charging. Exhaust system is orientated under the engine as well. Crankcase is CNC milled from bar stock. Crankshaft is fitted on three ball bearings. Connecting rod has both ends equipped with INA needle bearings. Pistons are made from high silicon aluminum alloy and ground to taper and elliptical shape to allow for heat expansion. The pistons are coated with a special sliding coat; which facilitates running-in the engine and extends engine service life.
The cylinders are from aluminum alloy and have a NIKASIL conversion bore, honed to exact dimension and roundness.
The engine offers smooth running, easy starts and flat torque curve. It is suitable for all kind of models.

Suitable mufflers are Int58.01 (by MVVS), TD75(K) or TD115 (by MTW)

The engine is Liquid Cooled, and needs a water pump, water coolers and appropriate plumbing to operate. (not included)
This engine is made to order.
Electric driven pumps are available as computer hardware. So are the coolant radiators. Proposed is to use a computer waterpump with 400 liter/hour capacity at 4 meter water pressure head, and a 120mm (three fan) computer radiator with 1000W capacity.

The engine is based on the 116cc crankcase, and the short stroke 80cc cylinder/piston design, with even further reduced stroke for most compact packaging. Crankcase parts however have been totally redesigned to fit the larger engine capacity, so they will not fit the 116cc engine.

A further devellopment of the very powerful 116cc along the shorter stroke philosophy, this engine is targeted at about 17 hp open exhaust sustained power, not useless peak peek readings which may exceed sustained power by 20%.

Scale (30 kilo) and glider tow planes of up to 25 kilo weight (55 - 66 lbs)
3D Aerobatic planes of 3.0 - 3,5 m

MVVS 175 Boxer is one of the first New Platform engines with bottom intake controlled by a reed valve ensuring equal cylinder charging. Exhaust system is orientated under the engine. Crankcase is CNC milled from bar stock. Crankshaft is fitted on three ball bearings. Connecting rod has both ends equipped with needle bearings INA. Pistons are made from high silicon aluminum alloy and ground to taper and elliptical shape to allow for heat expansion. The pistons are coated with a special sliding coat; which facilitates running-in the engine and extends engine service life.
The cylinders are from aluminum alloy and have a NIKASIL conversion bore, honed to exact dimension and roundness.
The engine offers smooth running, easy starts and flat torque curve. It is suitable for all kind of models.
